Chromakopia

I’ve been a fan of Tyler since the early Odd Future days. I remember watching the Yonkers video and feeling a profound sense of revulsion that somehow left me wanting more.

Tyler provoked me to challenge my own opinions on what I loved about music. I credit him for opening a window to so many of my favorite artists to this date.
Chromakopia gives me a little bit of everything I’m looking for in an album. I feel like I’m listening to his life story and getting a taste of every other album leading up to this one. I absolutely love this album and truly cannot get enough.

As a Tyler fan, I truly believe that this album is up there in terms of his discography. I absolutely loved how vulnerable he was on this album. He talked about so many things that I can't focus on just one! But my personal favorite is "Like Him" where states to his mother that he's "chasing a ghost" he then asks his mother if he "Looks Like him" after stating "I don't know, who he is/where he is" That's interesting, Tyler is clearly talking about the absence of his father.

I absolutely adored "Darling, I" and "Like Him" they were great tracks. Even "St. Chroma" was a masterpiece of an intro. Even in "Noid" the sampling and production were absolutely amazing. This album definitely cemented Tyler's place in the conversation.
